I just finished chapter 5 and learned of the "07th mod".

will the mod disable my achievements, or should i just wait until part 3 to install? I know it doesn't really matter but I don't want half the achievements. That would bug me.

No they don't. But there is a chance that the save would be corrupted and you will have to hold Ctrl till the moment you reach where you were.
