I’ve been playing PGR since the global release and have followed the game’s development closely over the years. Because of that, I believe the Steam release is a great opportunity to further expand the game’s reach. The Steam Deck, in particular, has become a very popular platform for action-focused games, and PGR’s gameplay feels like a strong fit for a portable experience.
Additionally, Linux support could also bring performance benefits, especially for players with less powerful hardware. In many cases, Linux and Proton can offer better resource management and smoother performance, which would help make the game more accessible to users who don’t have high-end PCs.
If this kind of support is not currently planned, I’d like to leave it here as a sincere suggestion. Even Proton support alone would make the game accessible to a wider audience and strengthen PGR’s presence within the Steam ecosystem. If such support is already implemented or being considered, it would be great to have some clarification on that.
Its highely likely that PGR will run on Linux using Proton, I played PGR on Linux a few weeks ago and it worked mostly fine, just a few issues with the launcher which hopefully shouldn't be the case here (since Steam version of WuWa also got rid of the launcher).
