I just started playing the game and thought I was lucky to spot a ship of smugglers upon leaving my first port. I clicked on the ship, overtook it pretty quickly (probably thanks to the skill points I invested in nautical matters), and then... just kept clicking it. I followed it around until my bank account went dry and was never able to attack it. How does one attack smugglers at sea?! It seems like something that should be bloody obvious and simple, but apparently I'm missing something.
