Best end-game armor
There seems to be no definitive answer, so what's your pick? I'm torn between the A.T.O.M.S. and Exor set.

For me it's Mystagogue armor - no fall damage is big thing. Second place is Exor, and third is Hyperion.
i have a combination head and arm ist the hexwood armor.

the radioactiv chest and bionic legs

Bionic legs, 2pc Exor and a hat of your choice. GOTTA GO FAST.

I'm generally using the Anteplate set due to facetanking most of the combat.

Also, the set has decent temperature resistances. I don't have to worry about the colder areas.

Mystagogue set has +3 cold resistance and that weird drone thing helping in combat.

the drone thing is useless lmao its accuracy is so bad and the whirring noise is annoying so i kinda stopped using the full set
Personally ... i enjoy the Exor armor set just because of the "spirit" helping me in combat
Occasionally i switch to Hypersion armor set (aka Cascade just upgraded) or Reactor armor set
When im around my base i like to use a Beanie,Blacksmith Gloves , Radiation vest and bionic legs

I haven't found the drone to be that useful, I've seen it get instantly deleted by enemies outside of pests and peccaries.

And the way the set mitigates fall damage often makes me miss landings, notably in the Fragments area.

Drone gets killed fast by enemies with AoE attacks, but enemies with bullets have trouble hitting it. Even Jotuns take a while to hit drone with their machineguns.

Landings take some time to get used to, but it saved my legs many times, when jetpack ran out just short of the edge.

no matter what, gotta go with the exoskeleton legs.
-- other that that, whatever has the highest defence.
I just used the mountineer armour set. Gave me 100 armour with the CQC helmet, I was knock back proof, and it looked cool. So, that's my pick.
As someone on the receiving end in co-op, I can tell you that I hate the exor set.

My buddy uses it, and that stupid ghost is a menace. It spawns in front of me, stares at me gormlessly while I'm trying to shoot something, and then runs off to pick a fight with a pest three floors down just because somebody farted the wrong way.

It's not like we need the help. Combat isn't hard. If anything, having something that can just run off an infinite number of times and kill things like a guided missile is even more irritating because it makes combat easier. I want to kill stuff myself.

But, anyways, the best armor in the game is unambiguously the legate set. Why?

The boots.

Exor set due to the speed bonus and leg breaking prevention. The spirit cannot die and he gets even stronger when you have the core companion trinket allowing him to shred most if not all enemies. Plus you can actually farm skills like throwing, blunt, and sharp on him. Not sure about accuracy though.

Exor Set with the Core Companion Trinket is the real deal if you solo.

Not Exsurgo set? You have reduce chance of bleeding for yourself and nearby allies, and can be true field medic of the team.
