kicking in what sense? you're trying to drop in on random peoples' lobbies?
The only people that want a kick function removed are those who intend to take advantage of the inability for others to remove them.

For better follow up, we have move it to Report a Problem.

Could you please provide more information of what happened when you got kicked from the lobby?

It sounds like they may just want to play without you. I don't know much about the online aspect so I don't know if there's some kind of password/invite-only system for those that just want to play with their friends, but even so, they should be allowed to kick whoever they want.

Sure but that is rude. They have password protected servers that is fine but the open to public servers should not kick. That is problem with p2p games.

Hello dev.

Not sure you can do anything about this in the current game unless you remove kicking from open to public rooms until the game starts with a vote system. If people just want to play with their friends, they should not make a public room. I find this rude. Open to public means open to everyone. You could add different room function open to friends that would only show to people on your steams friend list so it is not showed to the public. This way people like me don't get kicked for joining a public room. Maybe this could be added in the next game that is not release yet.

Take advantage of what exactly. Kicking for no reason is abuse. I disagree why make a room open to the public that means everyone just to kick a person joining. This is quite rude. They can make a password protected room or the dev could make a system to show only the room only to people on your friend's list if that is what they want.

If I play a game like CS2 premier, you don't get kicked for joining a game and picking your map and team. They could also add password protected rooms, public rooms without kicking and friends only room with kick function.

Lets put this in perspective,
Kick is deff a good tool for lobby host for many reasons
1: Toxic people in chat
2: AFK people that for some reason just waste time of everyone in lobby actually playing
3: Racist idiots in chat
4: Full lobby that would like to have an actual friend join

Downside: Some lobbies just kick because your better than them

is it possible to be racist and NOT be toxic(or vice versa, if you're particular about the wording)? Like to me if somebody's racist, it goes without saying that they're being toxic

Toxic as in
1:being rude to women
2:being rude to other players that may or may not be kids learning to play
3: just being rude in general

i consider racist in a whole diff class of idiot
