what? I have the spoon and peanut butter but i cant do anything with them :(

You also need the empty trash can. When you get it, it will be full of trash. You empty it in the green pipe thingy.

You got to put the empty trash can next to the hole where the mouse hid, then Use Item (combine spoon and peanut butter).

shows in walkthrough placing spoon and peanut butter just in right spot. But I can't even get the hatch open with crowbwr must have a glitch. I give up.
