This project should be considered dead. I've been waiting a long time & there's been ZERO progress reported... VOTC? RIP.

Only just stumbled across this and gutted to so it dead. With VA the only available alt. I can find, it's a damn shame this project got shelved.

@Gopher @Grillchef @Caesar -- I agree 100%... This project showed such potential! It's SUPER sad that the DEVs quit on this project. It could have been revolutionary. Unfortuantely, it's not worth ANYONEs' time. RIP VOTC! There are better alternatives.

I just clicked on this out of nostalgia and saw this post...

I was involved with the alpha testing and closely worked with the developer during that time...

The "big dollar" companies were unwilling to negotiate with an indie developer regarding the voice engine required for the back-end...

The developer got very depressed and cut off all contact with all the people involved, and I have not heard from him since...

So yes, this is definitely 100% DEAD, unfortunately... ;(
