Do you get paid for delivering electricity?
If the industry is active, it will demand power, which can be supplied.

It's been MANY years since I played, but do you get paid for delivering power to industry?

Yes, you get paid with industry bonuses and money goes into your revenue for the electricity delivered.
It depends on the pakset, but yes, you usually get paid for electricity. However you also pay maintenance on the lines.
And in Extended the towns' demand for electricity is very low until about 1950, so you will lose money on the actual electricity operations until then.

You can see this in the Finance tab under All > Trucks > Trains > ... > Electricity. Electricity provides a steady income, generating approximately 5% of the investment cost annually from power transport revenue, excluding the profitability from increased demand/supply!
