Is there much freight gameplay
Hey guys, new to Simutrans, and I love all the stuff I'm seeing around it. I'm a huge fan of TTD and then OpenTTD, so something that builds on that and adds even more complexity and more realistic economy and industry is something right up my alley.

However I keep seeing tons and tons of stuff around passenger transit and not much in regards to cargo. Now I love passenger transport, too, but I also enjoy long and complex industry chains as well.

Is there much of that? Is it well done and has good gameplay? Or does the game focus more on passengers?

Simutrans has a lot of depth for freight gameplay. Key differences for people coming from OTTD:

* Factories have contracts with other factories. You can NOT transport coal from a coal mine to a coal power plant if such power plant does not have a contract with the coal mine. This feature alone makes for an interesting gameplay, as more contracts can be made eventually.
* Factories stop producing if they don't get enough input resources OR if you don't deliver their output.
* Factories have a maximum production, which can only be reached if you transport workers (passengers) and mail to the factory. Also if it is electrified or not later on.

Otherwise, you can expect the usual "supply chain" gameplay. For a better experience, play paksets with more goods to transport. A quick search shows that pak192.comic has the most (72), while pak128.german goes second (68). For comparison, default pak128 only has 38 goods.
