Unplayable.
I had downloaded Simutrans, and had played it. Completely smooth gameplay. Took a break and came back to play again, only to find that it crashes and closes the program as soon as the preloader came up. When I tried WITHOUT the preloader, it still crashed, and I have no idea what is causing the issue. Even restarted my computer. Any fixes?

What happened after the break? Did you update the game from an existing install? Did you install it fresh?

Can you try the nightly beta branch? We have fixed some crashes related to multi-threading recently and you may be affected by one of those.
