Bug? Intended gameplay? (Final Boss - Tita)
Sooo, I'm guessing this is a bug/oversight/coding error type thing, but I could be wrong?

I'm on the final boss fight. I've brought Agate & Tita. I was intending to use the Orbal Gear to do big physical damage. However, when i switch Tita to the Orbal Gear she is then unable to move to any other square. She cannot move, she cannot basic attack the boss or any of the pillars, and she cannot use her charging-craft to move either.

This has left me essentially without a 4th party member (since she has pitiful HP stat without it). Gonna have to restart the entire dungeon to change the party. :(

Any idea if this is intended game behaviour? Am I missing something?

Thanks for your time.

Edit; moving right up against the boss before triggering Orbal Gear seems to have worked, as I can now hit the boss. Maybe it is just the squares she starts on that are bugged for some reason? It definitely wasn't a movement range problem.

Anyways, I'm past this now, but will leave this here in case it's a legit bug.

Did it happen at the beginning of the fight when you have all the squares intact OR later in the fight when the boss starts to destroy platforms?

If it is the latter, then it is because Orbal Gear takes up more space than a normal character, hence moving around is not always possible. Usually not an issue since this is like the only fight in the game where the platforms disappear but it can happen. Also, the machine guns and rocket launcher attacks have really long range, so you can just use those.

If it is the beginning of the fight....then I don't know. First time hearing this, might try it out myself but when I bring Tita, this doesn't happen to me.

Fun trivia, you can take advantage of bosses having big hitboxes. For example the Rhinos. There is a boss in one of the future games, and I literally killed 3 of my characters around his body and he couldn't move. After that I just used long range attacks :D

It was at the start in the first phase.

Can also use this to trivialize Fango and Bronco at the end of Bose in FC, which is otherwise a VERY nasty fight on high difficulty. Let two people die near a corner and the third hides in it.

Yep. I always use that tactic. Especially, on Nightmare.
