Some tips on parry timing?
I can't seem to get it right. Tried to practice it with different enemies. Like the maids for example. I've tried to parry when their weapon is up, and when they're striking. Sometimes it succeeds, sometimes not.

I haven't found any specific time yet. What am i missing? What shuold i look? The second knight always kills me also because my parries won't succeed.

Technically when you are in the parry state if an enemy attack lands on you it is considered a parry, so your parry window is 20 frames.

You can see how long the parry state lasts from the frame you pressed it till the animation resets into the idle/movement state.

So as long as you are parrying while being hit it will work. So study when enemy attacks land, visually ALL enemies will have the big swing visible in the "active frame" when the collision is actually checked.

Spamming it against combo attacks usually wont work because if you missed the first parry, and immediately parry right after 7/10 times you will also miss the second and third attacks (this was intentionally made this way)

Hope this helps.

Yup, also, turn on your flashlight.
With it you can see when you can parry: your opponent will briefly flash in blue.

The parry window is pretty generous so it shouldn't take too long for you to get the hang of it^^

Don't forget that you can parry with your sword but also with your gun!

the flashlight will highlight the period they are in the attack state, so if you parry when you see it you should hit the right time, considering the average human reaction time to a visual cue is about exactly the gap before they attack.

Also yes, if you shoot them ANY time during this period it will parry, so if you are good at lining up parry with the gun is easier.

Finished it! Now that i got the hang of the parry system it was pretty smooth ride. Ending B though.

Kudos on the dance hall, that was a nice surprise.

Glad you liked it. Ending A and B is both the good endings.
C and D are the bad ones and the ones hard to change, so good job sparing the Knights :)

I didn't spare the knights? I killed them all, and the king also.
It also said in the ending that reclaiming the throne might be hard without the knights. I was never ordered to kill them, i must've had something personal against them.

Got the ending B achievement though.
