Mapmaker trees and towers don't show

I recently reinstalled the game and bought the newest DLC.
On the Mapmaker challenge (Goblins DLC), the towers and trees that are part of the puzzle no longer appear, except there is one odd counter on the right side of the map. I can't tell what it is supposed to be.

Nintendo Switch. Any other information you need?

I've passed that on to someone who can look into the Switch version. If there's a way you could get a screenshot of what you're seeing, that would be helpful.
