crash on startup
I get a black screen then an error message with a log.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues.

Without knowing more, it's hard to guess at what the problem might be. Depending on the problem, there are some suggestions in the Known Issues and Workarounds thread that may help.

The FAQ thread gives instructions on where to find the game log under the "Where can I find my game log?" section. If that log file exists, it should include some useful information.
