I played Tremulous back in the day, but it has the same problem as NS2 in the low player base thing

what do you mean nobody plays? theres always games going. lol. Even during off peak hours I always get into a game.

Bro the use base is relatively small, but just like NS1, there will be a dedicated playerbase for years and years. Theres are other game like NS2, but they typically fall very short.

Savage 2 is very good, not sure if anybody plays it now. Nuclear Dawn is abandoned, like almost totally.

Another one i thought of though there is no actual Commander it has buildables and is A symetrical to a degree, wish to god this was still on Steam, i have the original disk still but my rig has no DVD player to install it now though lol.

Savage SR is not similar. Similar is in most content. Tremulous is probally the most similar game to NS2.

Well's theres nothing much made in the same style of melee based vs range based with rts elements.

I havent noticed any decline in the playerbase for at least a year or more.

Theres a hardcore fanbase that literally will not abandon this game until NS3 comes out, or something better in the same vein.
