but Moonbreaker has characters with guns so I guess their stance changed, so anything is possible.
You literally have to be a time traveller to play this. And sort of tactic is thrown out the window as soon as you die to ♥♥♥♥ you had no control over.
If they fixed that in NS3 I'd definitely play it. As soon as it becomes another you die to shots/bites made in your future past, they can go f themselves.
Even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ oldschool lag where you have to aim after them, would be better that this crap.
Or make the bullet spray require control the recoil like in CSGO.
The strange deaths by "lag" is actually very normal in FPS online games. It's just much more obvious by melee, as the distances make it very obvious. Theres plenty of other games where you die around corners from being shot with a gun.
Typically games with melee combat have significant delays in swinging/attacking and slow movement mechanics in order to disguise the issue. NS2 is a bit unique in that you have extremely fast moving melee.
analog keyboard... Access to program AI like in carnage heart... possibly portals like in Prey (2006)... also, I want a upside down camera when walking as skulk.
And more possibilties to climb when being a Soldier. Can be a german or french ... does not need to be nation restricted. Why cant I configure my look myself? in 2023 STILL NOT THERE?
After HOW FAR we did come between 1995 -2010, why the jetlack?
like in real life.... there is SO much laying on the ground, gold why dont you take?
I don't know if NS1 + modern gfx + new features would have been the winning combination, would've been nice, but we'll probably never know.
I would personally like to see open maps, like exposed to the elements somewhat. For example maybe a forest with tons of trees, or expansive canyons, or perhaps even snowy biomes or swamp biomes, entire zones that can get infested and infected. (And have the visible spread of infection be a bit more random)
Well when the game was turned over to a community development team while they focused on Subnautica or whatever the game was called, that's what I'm talking about. They did come back, but damage done.
Outside of the very dedicated community members, everyone else pretty much lost interest too. A roughly 300 world-wide peak player count game is as close to dead as you can get.
