Unfortunately UWE seems to have zero interest in touching this franchise again, but honestly, a survival-horror game based on being a lone Frontiersman, or maybe a civilian with access to TSF tech would be incredible.

Playing this game alone in a private server with some atmospheric mods, nobody else in game, and the emergency lights shut off... it's genuinely scarier looking than a lot of dedicated horror games.

I feel like UWE might be missing a big chance by forgoing trying a more successful genre of game with Ns2's premise. Ns2 and Ns1 were niche, unique projects. But I think Natural Selection's premise on a Subnautica-style gameplay loop might be a huge hit.

Idk, I crave a game we'll probably never see I guess.
