I'm a bit unskilled and I'm pressing a lot of keys by mistake while playing. I tought it was some kind of "sound disabled" keybind but I found nothing in the setting menu.
At the moment, I'm using a Plantronic Headphone with 7.1 surround.
If you're expeciencing the same problem, or having a solution for my problem, you're welcome ;)
other users have reported similar issues in connecting with the surround sound emulation features of their sound card/headphones. So try to set your sound card audio mix setting to stereo and see if that resolves the issue.
Otherwise please provide more details about your sound card and used output devices.
Thanks.
I've new information about my problem : There is a link between my sound problem and steam overlay. Each time I had my problem, I used shift+tab to chat with friends. Today, I played without using it and it was fine. The second I used shift+tab, sound was gone.
I think I'm going to disable steam overlay for this game.
Thanks for sharing those information. Looking into it.
Right click on the game => Settings => Disable steam overlay
