Hi,

first of all did you confirm that your latency is really that high after joining a server (enter net_stats into the console. You may need to rebind your open console key in the options menu). I would recommend to try out either the Survival of the Fattest or Thirsty Onos servers. Both are located in central or east europe.

The server browser doesn't ping each server directly but tries to estimate your ping. For some users that estimation is always off by a large margin.

But if your ping is really that bad after connecting to a server there are two common issues:

1. Buffer bloat: Run the test at http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest to see how much you are affected by buffer bloat. When buffer bloat occurs the game updates/ping packets get stuck on the way to you because some router on the way is just unable to handle the load. Usually this is your end user router. If possible check if your router allow to prioritize live services. Additionally you may want to call your ISP if your buffer bloat is way too high (+ 150ms ). However not all ISP tend to know how to combat buffer bloat.
   
2. Bad routing: Download and install pingplotter free (http://www.pingplotter.com/products/free.html) and run it with the target 85.14.201.4 . If you end up with a trace of more than 10 hops or if some hop is either unstable or takes a lot of time inform your ISP about it. Often they can update their routing tables to resolve those kind of issues.

If you aren't affected by either issue please enter net_log 53 into your console and then connect to a server. Afterwards please upload your log.txt located in %Appdata%/Natural Selection 2 to a service like https://gist.github.com/ and post the link to it here.
