Try deleting the Appdata Natural Selection 2 folder

Additionally type ingame "r_stats" in console.
Make a screenshot and show what happens for example when you have FPS drops.

So I deleted the folder Appdata/Roaming/Natural selection 2
But still, problem persist.

You can also try using the "Repair.exe" in your Steam folder.
Screenshot doesn't show anything out of the ordinary and you're not looking at action / other players and stuff.

In general it could also be that your OS suddenly interrupts NS2 for his tasks (other games rely more on GPU while NS2 relies more on your CPU)
For one you could leave r_stats open while playing and check if there are sudden big hits in the "waiting for.:." areas.
Another thing you could do it do a techsupport file and let some of the devs take a look at it.

It's doing that for me as well on 2 completly different computer (long term issue on my side, I can't say when this was first occuring). No clue so far on why this is happening.

I think you should submit a 'dump' to Uwe, check the forums how to do it but you basically run a file in the game folder that captures some of your in game data while your playing so they can analyze what is causing the issue because i wouldn't know what else to suggest you try.

As you said, this bug is really annoying. It can happens in crucial moments... Then you die... then ALT+F4.

Hope it will get fixed.
