Stuck on loading screen
Hi, I can't start the game after the last update. When loading the game freezes on the loading screen (marine vs onos) tried to reinstall the game unsubscribed from all mods, deleted files in appdata, checked the hash but none of the above did not help. Can anyone faced with similar?

Hey werteran

Did you delete all files in: %appdata% \Natural Selection 2\Workshop ? It's recommended to empty the workshop folder. Do you play other games and it's fine there?

Thanks for the answer. Yes, I deleted it all. All other games in my library run smoothly. also, if I go to the beta version of Natural Selection 2, it starts and shows the start menu.

sorry forgot to post, can you do the steps what I posted in the other thread: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/4920/discussions/0/2567563897027833545/#c2567563897029497021

I tried deleting subscriptions as you indicated. The tab for subscribing to mods is empty but still hangs on the download screen.

Hmm. Did you try changing some graphics options already? maybe set them to medium or low. Also there is an option under general called "Resource Loading" if I remember correct. Maybe try to change from High to medium or low (it may cause the game to load longer but it's for troubleshooting).

Also where NS2 is installed (right click open game files or similar, sorry not on PC) you can doubleclick on the folder x64 and then run the Repairgame.exe which may help sometimes

I tried in the beta version to reduce the graphics to the bottom and used repairtool from the folder with the game, also without results.

Hmm that is strange. Did you guys changed in the options: "Resource Loading" to low?

I also recommend to join the official ns2 discord as here on the steam forums not many are active : https://discord.gg/UyzfF4H

Another tip is to run the RepairGame.exe that should be located in the installation folder of NS2
