Question about price
A-Train 3D, published by Natsume on 3DS, is $20 on the eshop. Why is the same game ported to PC a whopping 300% markup?

I would think when it's localised in our regions, it'll be £20-£30 Max.

I don't know why, the PC version includes three new scenarios plus all scenarios that were DLC in the japanese version of the 3DS game, including several DLC that Natsume never brought to the West but I don't think that this justifies such price, it's even higher than the original japanese price of the original and neo version which are respectively 5300 JPY (43 €) and 4980 JPY (40 €).

I don't think they will do this. I think the low price of the 3DS version is probably an idea from Natsume who perhaps realised that American and European publishers no longer price a business simulation game at 55 €. If Degica or Artdink wanted to sell A-Train for a price suitable to the western gaming market they would already have priced A-Train 9 V4 between 30 and 40 euros.

Actually, the price is quite fair... It takes effort to port the game from 3DS to PC. The gameplay, the game engine and the graphics all had to be built to PC specification.

So the process of porting a title validates that it costs 3x as much as it did originally?
Look at the other Japanese games. They don't comes with 60 USD tag.
Most of them are priced at 30~40 dollar mark. Some are PS3/4/Vita port and even adding separate DLC doesn't add up to 60, yet this game is abnormally priced for such "effort".
I have no idea why Artdink/Koei are putting price like this. Seems like they don't care to selling stuff other than to few niche customers..

Because Japanese are easiest targets in the world.
Almost Japanese consumers are too obedient, few objecting, and weak. Therefore the game price in Japan is very high.
If you have seen that a price of game has been settled in 40 USD and publisher is Japanese, Japanese are forced to buy that on 60~80USD.
