You have to buy the building from them first. Click it, then on the right side of the screen there's a buy button. Then you can tear it down from the subsidiaries menu. This can be pretty expensive, so in general you should plan ahead where you want to build tracks and buy the land ahead of time, and also always buy some land around your train stations so you can expand them later without having to spend dozens of millions on buying the buildings and land.
