okay, I now have 7 ranches and a teamster with extra shift upgrade with emergency job set to transport manure, but it hardly registers. after fulfilling multi tasks and choosing tree growth as a reward each time, Penultimo says "did anyone see the tree growing, well, look harder"

i would not use manure spreaders due to the fact it takes away from manure that can be for the tree. Speaking of that the tree grows VERY SLOW and consumers manure damn near instantly for the first 20 min of playing i wasnt sure if it was getting any. Sure enough it was but it grows so slow and consumes it so fast i didnt know. also it needs road access

@Wolfe, I already won the mission and am now playing a sandbox in which the tree grows A LOT faster

i finished this mission in 2 hours, just build ranches change mode to produce manure. all ranches can make manure if you select the right mode, then build a cheese etc. mission is really easy, i even had loads of spreaders.

@MasterJohn - I agree this mission is more of a tutorial,
but you probably had it set to "easy" as well, on "hard" it takes a little longer
