No road connection bug?
First time I had this happen. Built a rum distillery or whatever it's called next to a road with the road icon adjacent to the road, but I still got the "no road connection" message once the building was completed. In case I made I mistake and to test things I built roads all around the building, still got the message. In fact it's the same location as I've built that building in previous missions and it worked fine then. Anybody else had this kind of thing happen? Is it a known issue? Or am I overlooking something? Thanks for any input.

P.S. One thing that might be different this time I just realized. The sugar plantation could have been completed after I finished I building the distillery. I assume that would just give me the insufficient raw materials message though.

You can also accidently end up with things like billboards blocking a driveway (the game tries to warn you not to do it, but sometimes misses the warning depending on build order); or if building on a corner two driveways overlapping will block one or both even if they don't visibly appear to be touching, the pathing gets confused if they are too close

Post a screenshot if you can't figure it out

There is also a glitch that can occur where something that used to be there might have been causing the block and removing it doesn't remove the blocked message, so unfortunately even if you think you solved the issue, the game cache still has whatever was blocking it in memory just no longer visible. This may be solved by reloading the save, or worst case scenario demolition the entire area and then reloading before rebuild.

I think the game doesn't like it if there are two road connections in the same space. There was a sugar plantation connected to the road on the west at the exact same spot the rum distillery would have connected on the east. Once I placed the distillery so the connection was no longer directly across from the sugar plantation connection it was happy again. Seems a bit odd as I don't see how what would essentially be an intersection would be bad but live and learn I guess.
i had this happen a couple of times. usually its fixed by destroying the building and road and rebuilding it.
