teamsters not working properly?
built 3 teamsters next to abunch of ranches and plantations, somehow they arent transporting the stuff to port. They're just loitering around it with the occasional pickup. Max budget.

good thing i tried it out before just getting it based off reviews. stuff is ultra gamebreaking :DSTpoop:

Tropicans who have their workplaces close by to where they work, recreate, and rest are more productive than tropicans that have to double or triple back to these places. Poor Tropicans walk everywhere until you use edicts to give them perks or build infrastructure so they don't have to walk or walk far to get to places. If they aren't working, chances are they are not happy.

I tried doing all that. The teamster office was right next to the ranches, they were there, just walking around. Occasionally one would pick the goods up in a cart that carries like 7 goods LOL.

It’s a very common ‘issue’. To the point it might even just be a feature that the AI threads plays more ‘realistic’ and the devs couldn’t really implement it properly. If you look you’ll see the main troubleshooting with this game is about teamsters being wacked out

Not that it matters anymore because a few hours later I found out you can’t have extra members like in 5 and that’s definitely a game breaker. Uhh, sending your 3rd cousin or kid or brother on a mission to liberate Iwo Jima was the best part of the whole game?

I will say it got me back into 5, which is really good and ♥♥♥♥ actually gets done. You can modify the population cap too which was my main gripe with it.

What I tend to do is make a road and build equally placed farms/ranches in front of each other, connected to the road, but leave an empty spot the size of one or two farms in the middle of that big rectangle of farms. In those open spaces, I build small residential areas usually with 1 teamster, houses, a church, a grocer, a clinic/hospital, and one or two fun buildings. All my workers are centralised and need to walk very little for whatever they need. If you teamsters have to walk too much to go wherever they need to go, it will take FOREVER for team to actually work. Works wonders.

If you are getting traffic jams or stuck teamsters, try closing the game and re-opening the save. I don't know if loading the save without exiting would do it, I never checked. That seems to clear up an issue that can block teamster traffic. I think it despawns them out of the vehicle. I noticed this helps when the finances are in a death spiral because of teamsters not making it to the dock to deliver goods when there should be plenty of them.
