Playing sand box. Last three elections, I look at my support. Deliver the speech. I promise nothing in my speech. I pause the game during the speech. After the speech my support drops in half or more. The last election I had 78% support before the speech, after speech it dropped to 11%. I ended up barely winning election 333 to 294 after 18 months of doing everything I could to increase support back to 59%. LOL, it also did not help that about a month after the speech, the volcano erupted and started 20 fires, kind of made it fun. Thought for sure I was going to lose the election. I did not change anything...support just dropped like a rock right after the speech. Overall happiness was 83. I have the Rome Wonder so only Food/Fun count anyway. Diplomacy is >100 for all five powers. No criminals on the island, no rebels, zero unemployment. 9 families without home for pop of 750. 3.9M in money. Almost all pop is well off or better. Don't understand what is happening...it has happened the last three elections and the drop in support gets larger in each election after the speech. Any ideas? Everyone loved me and then everyone hated me after speech. I have never played this long for single game, I have researched every tech, bought every blueprint...pretty sure I will lose the next election and my support is back up to 79
% now. I can't remember, maybe there is an option to just not give a speech?
