AI opponents?
I just realized that a lot of the mechanics in Tropico 6 makes much more sense in a competitive setting against opponents who are racing to reach a goal. I'm not a multiplayer guy, I don't want to have to set aside the time to play a full game of Tropico from start to finish, or find someone who is willing to share their time, but I still want to taste that competitive experience.

Maybe this is too much to ask, but what if there's a pseudo-multiplayer mode where you face off against AI opponents, like Civilization? They don't actually have to build a proper working city, they just need to give the appearance of a working city. Their numbers like money or citizen don't have to be accurate and could be fudged depending on the AI difficulty. And maybe they would have "personalities" which makes them lean into a certain faction or strategy.

Well, it turns out this question has been asked in the past: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/492720/discussions/0/1771511442688769507/

But my point still stands, a lot of the mechanics make more sense in a race against time. So what if sandbox mode has some sort of time trial mechanics where you are given a score based on how quick you accomplish the objective? Or maybe like the old Tropico games, you play on a limited time and has to amass as much wealth or score as possible before the time runs out?
