DLC ideas
Railroads. Many if not most major ports make use of these to avoid the traffic of the city. They could transport more goods faster with less employees and upkeep.

Retirement homes. Please god if you do nothing else, give the old and useless a place to stay FAR away from my businesses so the working people of Tropico can put in an honest day's labor. At the same time, I'm sure we can find new and exciting ways to drain our tenants savings while their busy being a burden to society by charging extortionate rent rates!

I think zoos and aquariums would also be a great source of entertainment that double as an attraction for tourists. I even have an idea for an alternate work mode; "breeding program" that lets you produce exotic animals for reduced efficiency and service quality which you can export globally for a sumptuous return.

That's all I have for now, what do you guys think? Any suggestions of your own? I'd love to get your feedback!

Yeah, i got a few: Bee hives. The tropical climate is perfect for those honey bees and the honey (and beeswax) would make a good export.

Soda plant: Uses sugar to produce soda pop. If prohibition is enacted, then soda pop is the next best profitable export.

Laundromat: Sooner or later, the residents would need a place to do their laundry, and this laundromat would boost the housing quality of nearby homes.

Worker Barracks: Perfect place if you have faraway industry and plantations. Besides good housing quality, these worker barracks satisfy healthcare and food needs, and it can be upgraded to satisfy religion and entertainment needs. There should also be a edict that improves all the qualities of worker barracks.

Labor Camp: Similar to the one included in a DLC for Tropico 4, The Labor Camp would be, well a camp, in which Citizens who are sent to it, will be unable to leave, essentially, working until they die, If they are released, there is a chance they will become more Loyal to El Presidente (and will always vote for him, to avoid being sent back to the camp) or they will become a Rebel. The Camp could have certain workmodes, Those are of course.

- Standard Routine: Prisoners will work normal times, allowing them to get satisfactory amounts of rest and food intake
- Harsh Routine: Prisoners will get Hardly any food intake or Sleep, Inmates will likely die from Starvation and Exhaustion
- Work till you drop: Inmates will be worked to death.

There will of course also be the options for assigning Prisons, Camps etc.. to certain factions, i.e Arresting Communists will send them to a certain Camp or Jail.

I think there could also be Jailbreaks, Criminals or inmates who spend enough time in a Jail, may attempt an escape, if they break free, it will inspire other Inmates to try the same, if they fail, they would be executed, lowering the Morale of prisoners.
