Mostly Cost/Budget/Worktime efficient Suggestions so Publisher Friendly
Dear Developers as much i like the game i think the potential is not fully used, and therefore i'm writing this down in the hope to see the changes some day :) even if i have the bad feeling that your Team is actually running on low budget to keep this game sustained with Content, "Free Patches" and DLC's I still gonna give it a try...

Most of those changes should be one of the more easier things to implement into this game without costing too much workforce/budget/time :) but also might be more efficient in term of gameplay fun

What i would like to see are more possible settings/modifiers for possible Goals/Win Conditions of matches and with it a sort of variety of how to play Tropico by using it's diffrent gameplay mechanics and factions also population

As example more Goals/Win Conditions i would like to see
  • Have a set amount of Criminals in prison 500-2000 as on Island at the same time (in sort of prison themed island that is making money with criminals , or be the first to make XXXXXXX Profit with Prisoners.
  • Defeat XX-XXX times Guerilla/Rebels attacks/revolts/coup to show the strength of the President Loyal Members.
  • Convert 70-90% of your Tropicans to one Faction and hold it for X-XX years to show that Presidente is capable of uniting the tropicans under one "flag/group"
  • Defeat XX Foreign Coup/Revolt and show that the world that noone can touch Tropico! And noone should even dare it.
  • Restore the Faith of your Island from the scratch, and be the first tropican island that the pope visits!
  • Be the first who reached of letting in 5000 immigrants in a Presidente's lifetime.
  • Maybe add option to Befriend a Faction (having a set of 3-5 diffrent rank and you must reach as first one of the last ranks on a faction (befriending an Faction could give as example some benefits
  • Become a Pacifist Utopia! Hold the Pacifist State constitution for XX Years without forcing an Attack by Foreign Countries or Rebels/Guerillias or revolt/coup
  • Built the most beautiful tropican Island after XX-XXX Years (Not sure yet how to determine the winner (either by a vote system or something else)

  • Religious adds a % bonus on Servicequality and decrease upkeep cost
  • Industrialist adds % on production value
  • Enviromentalists decreases pollution of buildings, increases beauty of the enviroment
  • Capitalists increases the profit of Service/Entertainment buildings
  • Intellectuals increases the radius of Media Buildings, Firewatches etc.
  • Communists increase the output of Farms,Plantage & Housing-space/quality
  • Conservative increases Secruity and Freedom Satisfaction


Additional things i would like to see, are some more game modifiers since some maps are limited of ressource amount (minerals) there should be a modifier to increase the existing ressource spots by a value specific value
  • A Ressource Value modifier of x1 | x2 | x5 | x10 or unlimited by not decreasing the value (freezing the value)

A other modifier would be a checkbox for example the Tropican attributes

  • Attribute 'Far Far Island' Making your Island less attractive for Tourism due high travel costs, also meaning all sort of Ships and Airplanes visit tropico less frequent and make it harder to survive due the fact to plan on the long term without running into 50k debt.

  • Attribute 'Immigration Standards' , make it harder to attract immigrants by requiring standards of satisfaction attributes of the island to attract Immigrants

In addition maybe even a edict named 'Experimental Ressource Extraction' that increases once every limited ressource by a value of x1-x5 with the downside of creating permanent pollution arounds the Spot of ressource.




The way the MP is played yet seems to be very limited either meaning it a match that forces one of the very few playstyles (usually meaning rushing Industry and with it Economy and Profit , or Tourists and with it also money. or by completing missions for the counter or by creating swiss money in the background while doing other things.

But due the way how "many gameplay" mechanics this game has it also offers a way to make use of it and with it playing tropico also in a diffrent way compared to before
Those additional goals would force us to play in a more diffrent way.

Meaning being come a military dictatorship who doesn't care for freedom/satisfaction but rather trying to force revolts to fullfil as first one the goal. While also trying to sustain a economy while struggling with the factions and trying to survive.

Or trying to become a criminal prison island as goal (maybe we could also extend the negative influence of having criminals on the island while also giving more possibilities to have more criminals on the island).


Since Tropico 6 focused on Multiplayer in the development but also meaning it came at the cost of the budget which cut off overall the depth of the product in every corner.
But the Multiplayer also offers alot of possibilities (potential wise)due the "PvP nature and with it how to reach the goals

Having more diffrent Goals could bring benefits of how to play Tropico. As Industrial Nation that focus on money, as Religious one, someone who tries to achieve the Criminal Prison Island, someone who tries to win by converting some of the legal money into Swiss Money, by Military force, someone who tries to convert the population of the own island to one faction etc.
Tropico 6 could definetly benefit from such things.

Maybe even addin some sort of new category "wonders/buildings" that alters some things of the game stuff. Maybe some wonders with benefits but als negative sites.

  • Alcatraz Themed Wonder/Building - Increases Profit on Prisoned Criminals and increased Jail Sentence Time , No parol until death - Negative Downside Effect = Criminals can now Revolt cutting off Presidente from it's Prison Profit
  • Casino Themed Wonder/Building - Increases Profit of all Casino Buildings - Presidente Gambles from time to time to increase Profit on Swiss Bank. - Negative Downside effect= If Presidente is having a bad day he is gonna loose some of the Legal $ and Swiss Money and increasing Corruption.
  • Megablocks a Gigantic Block Building from a Time Traveling Architect to meet the future needs of El Presidente by offering him an Gigantic Housing Wonder offering insane profits on Housing - Negative Downside effect = Due the High Population Density of the Building it increases an abnorm amounf of Insecruity and potential Criminals.
  • Rebel/Guerillia Camp - A Negotiation place for El Presidente and the opposation giving Presidente the ability to negotiate by fullfilling requests (build certain buildings,edicts etc.) to keep rebels feet at bay they might even help to withstand the attack by foreign borders who are trying to invade tropico!- Negative Downside effect = If El Presidente should decide to drop negotiations keep in mind Presidente that a Gathering place for Rebels/Guerillias might increased their capability of fighting and cooperation amongst them.

Shack Tower - Functiontioning with an addiontional edict that forces Shack Citziens to move to the new Housing Building: The Shack Tower while offering alot of places the downside of this building should be that it decreases Health over time, while creating alot of insecruity and maybe also criminals additionally it could have a chance to turn a shack citzien into a rebell/guerillia.


Parks with tall Palms
since most Parks/Decoration places lacks sort of big trees/palms and we have no option to replace trees/palms lost to shack it would be nice to see some additional parks with tall palms like in Tropico previous ones.
This simple decoration would help alot with the Beautification of the Tropical Island. (visually)

Caribean Skyscrapers!
Kinda Selfexplaining we need more varity of Skyscrapers for the modern time! Housing, Entertaining, Hotels, Wonders, maybe even Skyscraper Parks! and who else knows what more?!

Robotic Era!
Possibility to craft with highly educated citizens automated robots, who will take over the normal jobs of the tropican citizien being to able literally work 24/7 after need some recharge the battery (they do no need food, but repair parts, and alot of energy power. , forcing the Presidente to deal with new problems like increases povery, jobless problem, and changing the economy from mainly industry driven to service,entertaining,tourism and many more! maybe even adding new edicts like basic income to deal with the new problems and entering a new era with it.

Presidente Character Progression Overhaul
Sorry but i have to be honest the actualy Presidente System is just silly....
Being only able to choose 1 traits from many, while the corruption (does not create corruption while spending Swiss money is simply too strong since the introduction of Lobbystico making it a must need and everyone else obsolete.

Please overhaul the system and try to orientate to the previous once where you can choose your Education, you're supportive group, your traits , your weakness, stuff like this spices things up, especially when it comes to multiplayer! Character Progression is quite important when it comes to Multiplayer since it offers options and possibilities and with it playstyles. (Even if you don't like to recycle old things but some do work and players can only profit from it) same goes for most cosmetics.... they are maybe nice to have visually, but doesn't offer any else, they literally have no value, only eating the budget of the Dev team. You could change this by giving the cosmetics some individual effects (either the clothes one, or even parts of the palast itself!

Befriend your Neighbour , force a pact to help each other out in bad time , increase debt limit by 25k - 50k , if one presidente reach red numbers, a small % of the economy will be "carried/paid" by your neighbour impacting his economy for a little while until you can stand on your own feets again.


Trade Pact
One Presidente delivers the neighbour with food products (either for free or for sell) to sustain the food supply while your neighbour is focusing on Industry + increase their industry output by 20-30%. In Return a specific amount of Industry goods produced by the one presidente will be shipped to the other Presidente.

Singleplayer Sandbox Start Position
Change start location (since alot of map offers in multiplayer diffrent start positions and with it sometimes requiring diffrent type of strategy because of landscape and nearby ressources etc. if would add some varity if we had the possibility to change start position.
