The player throughout the eras is going to side with certain superpowers, whether it be by mission or preference. Another thing is that the military always seems to have AKs and russian tanks, no matter the era or who Tropico is allied with.

What if the equipment of Tropico had VISUAL changes based on who you ally with? After all, we know that Tropico didn't invent the AK-47!

There could be an option if the player feels like it, but otherwise Tropico could be depicted in a few ways with potential for letting the player choose in the menu or something. The following is a list of ideas of what the visuals for each alliance would give.

World Wars

Tropico Independently - Could be basic rifles with no notable details for infantry, tanks are iffy but maybe a french design like the S35? Not sure. Infantry would be generic.

Tropico with the Axis - Gewehrs or MP-40s for infantry, tanks could be represented by a Panzer 3. German styled helmets or caps?

Tropico with the Allies - Garands or Thompsons for infantry, tanks could be represented by a Sherman. American or even British styled helmets?

Cold War

Tropico Independently - Could go in many directions. Custom rifle design for infantry? Tanks could be also custom or look like an upgraded World Wars tank. Generic infantry.

Tropico with the Western Powers - United States M16A1 rifles for infantry, tanks could be represented by an M60 Patton. American styled helmets.

Tropico with the Eastern Bloc - AK-47s for infantry, tanks could be represented by a T-72. Russian styled helmets.

Modern

Tropico Independently - Same as the Cold War perhaps.

Tropico with the USA - Infantry with M4A1s, tanks represented with an Abrams. American styled helmets.

Tropico with the EU - Infantry with G36s, tanks represented with a Leopard 2. German styled helmets. [German equipment since Germany is in the EU.]

Tropico with Russia - Infantry with AK-74Ms, tanks represented with a T-80? Russian styled helmets.

Tropico with the Middle East - Very iffy. Perhaps Infantry with Galils, tanks represented with a Merkava? Generic helmets?

Tropico is meant to be silly and we do happen to be literally transporting world wonders onto a fictional nation's territory, but this is me nitpicking and asking: "What if?"

More customization at least could be fun.
