Simple enough, just have the sidewalk generated by road or the ground from buildings fill in areas there there is a gap created by roads, such as when they turn and there is no usable space between the road and building. It would really help with beautification if the game could identify appropriate situations for such a thing since many times the "natural" ground is ugly or does not fit with a surrounding concrete jungle.
