If you mean the conversation window no appear when talk whith a npc or in a cinematic i have the same problem.

help the devs track this down. share your pc specs. What is your Operating System, CPU, Video card and RAM. Also check that your drivers are up to date

does your processor meet the minimum speed requirement listed: 2.6Ghz. Also you might want to think about upgrading the RAM, even though it meets the minimum recommended that doesn't mean you will be able to play the game without any issues.

My pc are in the minimum requirements:
Intel Core2Duo 2.93 ghz,Nvidia 9500 gt with latest drivers,Windows 10 and 4 GB ram.
and giving this same error.

Everybody who I've seen with this issue so far has an NVIDIA 2xx, 9xxx or 8xxx GPU. I have a feeling that there may be a driver feature missing or something along those lines. You could try updating your drivers, that may also work.

Here's hoping the devs can patch that up soon!

Having the same problem while using a GTX 260, I already tried updating my drivers.

Ah that might be a good guess. I've got this error on a 9600M GT (128bit, 512 VRAM in a Notebook with Intel Core2 Duo T5600 @ 2.1GHz and 4GB Ram running Win 7 64bit) currently on Driver 341.92 but I'm updating to 342.01 now. I will report back but others have already said that updating didn't help.

342.01 driver showed me two splash screens that I think weren't displayed before but still, no intro video, no conversations and since we can't skip conversations, it's always an uneasy period of unresponsiveness.

Just upgraded my GTS 250 to a 1050 ti, wokrs fine now.

Doesn't show any conversations or the intro video for me either, GT 210 here.

I tried both UIs and different Screen Modes and Resolutions, no luck. We also should only use one thread for this bug and I prefer this one because it has a better title and more spec info from more people and less speculation.
