nvm fixed it. go to local files, Steamlibrary, steamapps, common, Disgaea 2 pc, _Commonredist, OpenAl, 2.0.7.0, then doubleclick the oalinst.exe and install it. it should work after dat

For those who are still having this problem as of February 2019, the "oalinst" file you need to install has moved. It is now located in:

Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\OpenAL\2.0.7.0

Didn't work for me... I've even uninstalled and reinstalled... I'm sad I was really looking forward to playing this again

same here.. it still not fix, other game work fine, but this disgaea2 cannot be play

This is where I found the app 'Oalinst'. Open it and install it. Game should work.
