Change Log:
1) Dark Sun:
Dark Sun is present in every single map except Adel tutorials.
In story and IW maps it spawns new monters every few turns + game over on turn 32 while the original dark world maps have their old effects.
2) Item changes:
equippment stats lowered (more for high end items) and price reduced
Bow and gun range increased by 1
Weights decrease SP to 1 (by 100%) instead of hp to 25%. Weight stats changed to be useful for fighters.
Weights disappear on death (original game feature yet not widely known)
Glasses give more INT but decrease ATK.
Restoration items are stronger and more expensive.
Treasure maps are lower rank
3) Spell changes:
All poison skills were removed / replaced (poison can still be found in Dark Sun effects)
All heals cure ailments as well;
Tera / peta heal added;
Fire / wind / ice spell damage lowered and Star damage raised;
Tier 1 priests can learn up to giga heal;
Tier 2-3 priests can learn up to omega heal;
Tier 4-5 priests can learn up to tera heal;
Tier 6 priests can learn up to peta heal;
Tier 1 magician can learn up to giga fire;
Tier 2 magician can learn up to giga wind;
Tier 3 magician can learn up to giga ice;
Tier 4 magician can learn only omega fire/wind/ice;
Tier 5 magician can learn only tera fire/wind/ice;
Tier 6 magician can learn only peta fire/wind/ice;
Tier 1 witches can learn up to giga star + all 6 debuffs;
Tier 2-3 witches can learn up to omega star + all 6 debuffs;
Tier 4-5 witches can learn up to tera star + all 6 debuffs;
Tier 6 witches can learn up to peta star + all 6 debuffs;
4) Character changes:
Slightly slower leveling speed
No money from kills
All characters have lower apptitudes except health (about -50% for tier 1 and about -20% for tier 6)
Wiseman (geomancer) can fly
Geo symbols have more hp
5) Character specials:
Wood Golems special is resist 50% phys damage (as dragon zombie)
Friday, Zenon, Undefeatedable special ability is 20% life regen (as old wood golems)
Fubuki special is HP/sp regen after normal kill (as old zombies)
Zombie special is SP drain with normal attacks (as old Fubuki)
Spirit special is reduced Sp cost (as witch)
6) lowered bonus rank for most maps
7) max party size is 5 instead of 10 players
I haven't gotten too far into this yet but it's pretty fun. The hospital makes it slightly more restrictive than challenging in some ways and since base spells are low cost where bigger skills are not made mage spamming stronger than the main game imo just not as early on. I do think it was interesting how much swords fell off with sp becoming an actual resource as well.

Also v3 of the mod should hopefully be available at Mod DB soon (if it passes the validations)
I like how Warriors are made for pure melee / counters with minimal SP
The only important changes thatare worth mentioning is that party size depends on your progress in IW. You get one additional member for the first pass of lvl 10, 30 and 100. And one more slot for very bad story ending.
Max enemy lvl is 100,000. Player lvl remains the same.
Those two aspects may require additional planning and should be known ahead of time
Eveything else can be discovered by playing.
On a side note, I don't know if it's fixable, but Scavengers (Valkyries) with guns that are summoned from the Dark sun have the 5-10 hit but still do a lot of damage (probably based on ATK).

Late bosses hp overflow integer limit and they have negative hp, so it's like ghost units that count dead and you can't interact with them https://imgur.com/a/HK50i0K
Also when i try to start prinny baal battle in LoC game just crashing, i guess it's because prinny baal hp overflow too much
Also after first cycle story Laharl fight is impossible because Rozalin stats is much lower than Laharl stats
Also with some bosses dark sun effect that spawn units just crashes game(Etna, Laharl, Baal for example)
Also i didn't get extra party member for worst ending
Even still, I really enjoyed the mod
For those wondering how I got this far:
1. Survive early game and complete Colosseum Depths
2. Create male samurais and get those hp to critical(to abuse their special(you still need to do at least 1 damage to make deathblow chance to proc)) and unlock dark world
3. Unlock Colosseum Depths - Confession Room dark world(requirement has changed and now it's just complete without taking damage)
4. Abuse Confession Room with your male samurais(throw the marionette closer to your base panel to turn her back and then attack with your critical hp male samurais to deathblow). I recommend get at least 5 2000 lvl samurais, also i recommend to have at least 1 of them caster to complete story
5. Get some high rank gear for your units(there are nerfed bonus level everywhere but mystery rooms, so you need to go to your highest level gear item world and find mystery room and then get maximum bonus gauge in the mystery room fight to get good gear(best fight is cellphone store because you can always throw prinny when you get 9 bonus gauge)(also stronger enemies bill increases bonus level but i don't remember if it works for mystery rooms)) and level it(you need to have fist user that unlocked rising dragon and another high movement speed unit to scroll item world)
6. With those characters you need to complete story and then complete Axel mode to unlock magichange
7. Get magichange scroll from subpoena(you need at least rare, but legendary is a lot better) and level it to at least level 140
8. Abuse magichange glitch with midboss to get god weapons(you can google it if you don't know how to do that, do not forget to get lovers for your monster because it gives crazy boost to weapon stats)
9. Complete the game
