Tink, for item world running.
A few others like Fist Adell to clean up lesser trash while MK nukes the biggest stuff.
Anyway, for my own team I kind of recreated my item world MVPs from the PS2 version:
-Thief w/ Gun - consistently highest leveled unit
-Male Fighter w/ Sword - tanky attacker
-Kunoichi w/ Staff - wind magic focused, ice secondary, good for sniping gatekeepers
Until postgame I also used Adell with fist, you need to level him to capture higher level monsters and he's also a pretty good unit. Having a single target damage skill without panel requirements (Vulcan Blaze) is a boon for fist users until you unlock their final skill. Aside from the ones mentioned earlier, the rest of the party was:
-Heavy Knight w/ Spear
-Cleric w/ Staff
-Lady Fighter -> Archer w/Bow
-Hanako w/ red monster weapon
-Etna w /Axe
-Rozalin w/ Gun (of course)
Come postgame, I've added Pram and Gig to the roster. Gig in particular has been getting free levels by magichanging onto other characters while they grind, so by now he has maxed stored levels (which I usually don't bother with)
