Collect felonies in the Item World, they give an exp multiplier, up to +300% exp for 300 felonies. Prioritize giving them to Adell, he needs 99+ felonies for the bad ending. Don't dive into subponeas, transfer the bailiff on an item you want to level up and and dive into that instead. You can throw a tower to the court gate to give felonies to up to 9 characters at once. Don't give felonies to monsters, they already get the benefits of the felonies of humans they magichange on. I recommend clearing the game first and leveling up a bit before going for Too High felonies (around lvl 300) with bailiffs at floor 16 or 18, they give 6 felonies, and you can grind innocents at the same time.
Collect all pirate maps to unlock the Land of Carnage, which has all the regular stages but with enemies at high level and with boosted stats and exp multiplier. LoC CoO4 is the best stage to level up on in the entire game, you need to use magichange 2 with Zetta to clear it in one shot with Zetta Beeeeam.
Also pirate maps and felonies are a no-go I believe (not that the bad ending unlocks anything as far as I'm aware, unlike other games like Makai Kingdom [Makai port when? lol]). Those come from the item world, yes? I find the item world in Disgaea 2 way too 'busy' for my tastes. I am looking for an alternative to the item world. Thanks!
The game doesn't have much for proper grind areas until you can access the Grave of Alchemy stage, open up Cave of Ordeals, *or* open up the Dark World. Most you'll get is a stage in a chapter that you find better than others for exp.
