Unfortunately, that is not the case, strangely enough. Some requirements can be pretty random, so good luck finding eveything without a guide (seriously, don't do it).

You really gotta wonder how anyone found out how to do anything sometimes with this game... haha.

they tend to release a "official play guide" around the time the game is released that seems to be the norm these days

That's really strange! But it's probably the reason why every guide you find online uses the exact same wording...

official day guides though are plagued with errors or stuff missing, not sure about the disgaea 2 one though as i dont have it, but like the skyrim i've found items/weapons/arrows that arnt in the guide -.-

I've unlocked the DW, and cleared the Beginner's field without taking any dmg (all monsters OS in 1st turn), but the next lvl doesn't appear.

Any ideas bout this ?

The regular maps each have a specific condition to unlock their DW counterpart. The conditions range from things you're likely to stumble upon by accident, to ones that are damn near impossible to figure out. I'd suggest just looking up all of them to save yourself some time.

Some stages ask when you clear them if you want to go to the DW (the DW stage will stay unlocked even if you choose no), others just send you straight there as soon as the condition is fulfilled, so be prepared for that.

No no, you don't finish the previous stage with that condition
You do the normal world counterpart of each stage

Oh, ok then @Judge Atlas. I guess I have to clear a few storyline chapters, then (Adell mode). Thanks for your answer btw !

Both Adell mode and Axel mode have Dark World stages, but it's really only worth clearing all the Dark World stages in Adell mode since that is how you get a special item. You get nothing for beating all of the Dark World stages in Axel mode.
