I don't understand the ending (spoiler)

So did they become human again or not?

Future Hanako is obviously a demon
The end credits show Zombie Dad and Three Eye Mom
Hanako claims everyone turned human again, but that doesn't much up with the newscast claiming Zenon was a hoax and nothing changed in Veldime

The Snow Clan appear to still be demons

In Disgaea 3's DLC everyone's still demons (Tink's even a frog even though he changed back)
In 4 and 5 Rozalin and Adell are still demons

Did they just get their memories back and claim that was the same thing? was it a mistranslation? Where they never human to start with.....? I don't get it

I'm not sure if it's actually possible for the people to get turned back to humans, but hopefully this will clear up some other things...

Adell was always a demon, which is the reason the "curse" doesn't do anything to him. He just believes he is human since he was raised by humans and can't remember his parents.

The people of the snow clan are demons. Pretty much everyone in the game world except for the Holt villagers is a demon unless stated otherwise.

The one we see presented as Overlord Zenon is some other demon overlord faking it to get revenge at the real Zenon. And the real Zenon is of course Rozalin, who reincarnated as a member of the snow clan.
