Felonies replace the Statistician specialist on items for a permanent Experience-gained boost (capped at 300 Felony points for +300% Experience gained). These are obtained through special Court Gates in the Item World of items with a Bailiff specialist, but you cannot use the mechanic until the game requires it for the first time in the story.
Treasure Maps are dropped by Pirate crews in the Item World (each set of Pirates only has one map and some will require you to dive deep into a Legendary item to find, too). With all of the maps collected, you can access the Land of Carnage where enemy levels in stages you've cleared are cranked up to insane levels compared to the original version.
The difference between an item lvl 0 and lvl 200 is night and day.
Upgrading innocents to max lvl will require a great time with Item world too.
To make the item world a breeze, makes at least 2 armored knights because they have the highest throwing capacity.
Gives shoes or Accelerators (that's better) to Tink to make him a runner and move swiftly to gates.
Concentrate your best items on a very few char so you can nuke gatekeepers to move quickly through the item world levels.
For the levels, cave of ordeal is the way to go (i grinded my char to lvl 1500) until you can unlock Land of carnage and grind the carnage cave of ordeal map up to 9999.
