Is it possible to find a Rare or Legendary M-Change Scroll on an Animal Pirate?

Basically the title.

The goal is to fill out the item log. I messed up and got a common M-Change Scroll from the M-Change Self felony way earlier in my run. With a save file of 200 hours, I thought to go with the Animal Pirate method. After finding 70+ Animal Pirates holding ONLY the common version the M-Change Scroll, I'm worried the rarity range is lock into common.

For my own sanity, can someone either confirm that I'm having terrible luck and show a steam version screenshot of a rare or legendary M-Change Scroll on an Animal Pirate, or somehow confirm the opposite.

Technically I only got 2 legendaries from the Animal Pirates (the 3rd one I stole from the Item God of one of the other M-change Scroll). I sold the rare and common ones.

I had a fair share of bad luck with this game in some regards, but I was surprisingly lucky with this. I'm sorry to hear about your luck, that seems very unfortunated (70+ pirates and only commons? yeeesh). With that said, how are you trying to farm/spawn the Animal pirates? IIRC they spawn more frequently on monster weapons. Also, are you going to the Item World in Holt Village or in the Land of Carnage? I was always under the impression that the enemies in the later tended to have better gear (not just in rank, but also in terms of frequency with legendaries), though I can't really say if that's a fact or just my imagination.

This might be a bit hypocritical coming from me, but I'm with Z3n on this one, it's probably not worth it just for filling the Dark Record. Even if you're trying to get it for actual use in combat, at this point, you might be better off just leveling a common one as best as you can or using another strat that doesn't require magichanging. Chances are, you'll find a legendary one when you stop caring about it.

Yes, it's possible. Legendaries are a 1 in 32 chance though, and finding a particular pirate is kinda hard, so, good luck with that. I would give up personally, it's not worth it, dood.

Possible sure, but at this point I need proof.
I have not seen a Legendary OR a Rare which is a 1 in 8 chance. I've seen tons of posts saying the same thing but no one has said they've found an L or R M-Change Scroll through the Animal Pirate method.

Thank you for giving me peace of mind. My method is to go into Satan's Motor from levels 21 to 39 and going to turn 2 then exiting to the next floor. I've found this is the highest change of spawning an Animal Pirate in the shortest time. I've also been testing what Rarity I should use, Rare or Legendary. So far, they are almost identical, but I need to do more testing to be sure. I've been on the lowest enemy difficult in Holt Village. I've heard having the lowest leveled enemies is a better idea for speed, but I'll try out the Land of Carnage after getting more data from Satan's Motor Rare. Thank you. c:

I remember something about LoC spawning more legendaries on Item World enemies as well.

I did some testing recently and I think drop rarity is tied to monster levels. If you maxout monster levels bill and go to LoC item world then legendary drop rate is boosted alot. It even works with felony item price drops. So getting legendary from M-Change Self is less painful in LoC side.
