If you didn't interact with a shop since that, it should be available for you to purchase it (after selling stuff to make room for it). If you entered a shop and left without purchasing it, it won't be in the list anymore.

In either case, however, the item should be available in your next cycle if you re-do the stage, so don't worry about permanently screwing over your save file.

Yeah, I tried doing that but it never appeared in the shop. Seems like items acquired via cutscene behave differently. I will restart the cycle and see if it comes back, as you said. Thanks for the reassurance.

Wanted to give you an update. When I tried beating Marjoly a second time, the Sexy Panties never dropped at the end of the cutscene. The game was bugged in such a way that I was no longer able to obtain it, no matter how many times I retried the stage. I was forced to restart the game from the beginning again. So basically, you can't have an overloaded inventory when you're going for cutscene rewarded items.

Ooof, I'm very sorry to hear that, it's the first time I've heard of something like that. Are you absolutely sure it didn't end up somewhere in your inventory or on any of your characters somehow and you didn't notice it (since it usually just doesn't give you the item if you already own a copy)? If you want, someone asked for a save file a while ago, which I provided. It should still be up in there. Just know that it's mostly complete, with every character maxed out (except for some left weak on purpose), but you can still delete them and/or create new ones if you so wish.

Oh, and in case you indeed locked yourself out of the unique item, you should probably unmark my answer since it was incorrect, I guess it could mislead people who don't read far enough into the topic?

Yeah, the more I'm playing the PC port, the more bugs I am finding that have been sabotaging my game progress. The worst one so far is a bug that reassigns random generic unit's mentor-pupil status and gives them to Kurtis when entering the LoC. It's pretty bad.

On that note, I'm okay with starting over. From now on I'm going to make multiple saves just in case I encounter future bugs.

Hmm, first time hearing about the Kurtis bug, but I've seen a fair share of them in this game, so that's just one more to add to the list. Even if the effects of master/pupil are negligible in the long term, I'll now be paranoid whenever I enter the LoC as well...

This game can be a bit annoying with multiple saves as it re-locates the most recent one to the top of the list, and you'll have to pay a lot of attention to see if everything is in order before you realize that you messed something up XX hours ago and see whether it's worth it or not to reload the backup or suck it up and redo stuff on the most recent save. Still better to have the option than not, though. Definitelly not speaking from experience after deleting a perfected Makai Wars and some SRSs on a filler unit. Yep.
