Scrolls?
How do you use scrolls in this game? I got a scroll of fist and one for magichange but I can't seem to use them. In later games you use them like an item and then they give you a skill but that does not seem how they work in this game.

Yeah, scrolls in this game is something completely different. They're equippable items that change weapon mastery ranking with the associated weapon to A, and aptitude with the weapon's attacking stats to 120%.

The magichange scroll is meant to be equipped on the magichanging monster, and iirc allows them to have their highest stat used as the basis for the resulting weapon's attacking stat.

A bit of a nitpick, but I'm fairly certain this is actually the effect of the Magichange Weight item (IIRC the M-change Scroll either gives more stats than usual or reduces the stat penalty when performing magichange). Aside from this, yeah, everything in on point.

Something that might be worth mentioning regarding the "weapon" scrolls is that the A rank they provide is the lowest possible, so if the character equipped with it naturally has rank A or S in the respective weapon mastery, having the scroll on them could be detrimental.

As such, other than maybe the M-change Scroll (which you need to level up to 160+ for its max effect), they aren't particularly useful. I personally just use them to store spare innocents, like the ones used for perfecting items.

Using them to store innocents is a really good idea I will have to use that idea thank for the info. The other stuff is good too at least now I know not to use master scrolls on someone who has A rank for there given weapon.

Yeah you're probably right about that, in which case the scroll just increases the stats (or reduces stat penalty, the end result is still better stats)
