- First of all, as you probably figured out, most bosses are immune to status effects, so I wouldn't waste actions trying to inflict them.
- Not sure how her AI is, but if she's passive (as in, she doesn't actively go after you unless you're at a certain range and/or if you don't attack her first) you can take your time to buff up your units and then wail on her with one big combo. Buffs don't wear off while a unit is in the base panel, so you can take a character out, buff them and then make them retreat to the base panel to buff some more in the next turn(s).
- There's also the "combo bonus" (not the one from attacking with multiple units, but for each individual unit attacking without moving), which you can also build up to increase your damage, but it's a lot more annoying to setup (usually by attacking your own units, preferably making them counter each other a lot, but you need to make both of them tanky enough for them to not kill each other in the process). This one you don't return them to the base panel (in fact, doing so will reset the combo bonus), you just build it up for a lot of turns and then throw them in a good position to hit the opponent. You'll probably never have to rely on this, but you can try it if you want.
- Magic in general is better than physical skills in this game, though you can still beat anything with physical attacks if your team composition turned out that way.
- If you can't finish her off in one turn, consider using 9 units to attack and then use the last one to lift the boss up to make them waste their turn. Repeat it as many times as you can, though your dps will decrease exponentially with each turn/ally killed.
- While you can accomplish a lot of things with these, if all else fails, consider raising your items first (especially weapons early on) in the Item World rather than raising your character's levels. Not only is it more efficient statwise, but you can also pass it around your units if/when you need to actually level them up later.
As a sidenote, while it's probably not very relevant now given how old the game is, try to be more careful with spoilers.
I also did an edit to make the topic less spoilery. Thanks for the heads up.
Though it's not too bad, you probably just need to shift your focus on something else, like the Dark World stages, the "Fallen Maiden" (lv 500), the optional characters if/when you hit the 40 hours mark (first one is lv 500, then another at lv 1200 in a separate fight/stage), getting a certrain witch (lv 1000) and a few others, but they are also lv 2000+. Oh, and the "Defender" sidequests too, those should be rather easy at this point in the game (and it's never too early to get those Accelerators). There's also the similarly easy Prism Rangers one if you haven't already, but you don't get anything substantial from it.
Even if these are still "too high lv", they should at least be more manageable than the "Worst Ending" boss. For example, I used a lv 200-ish skull to beat the lv 500 characters with the 40 hours event one, and then I used the character I got from it (after some minor grinding to get some generic offensive spells) to get the lv 1200 one. Their AI is so passive that they didn't even attempt to go after my unit(s) after I attacked them (using the max distance from spells). I did have to bring a SP recovery item for the first one, but ymmv depending on which characters/equips you're using or what lv they're at.
You'll still be forced to grind for some of these (IIRC some require a certain number of felonies and/or completed Dark World stages to unlock their bills), and you should also always be farming something else along side (specialists, lovers etc). That's just how Disgaea goes.
