More to the point, since the beta thread was more or less ignored. If you disable yours, does it work? Please reboot after disabling it from the device manager to be sure.
Won't matter. It still uses the same audio driver. OpenAL if I don't remember wrong.
Edit :
Oups. It's work when i disabled my sound card.
I figured that was the case as well. Good to hear but playing without sound isn't that great. Let's hope someone actually picks up on this now. As the cause i known already.
They should have had this info to trouble shoot then.
Need a fix patch please.
What this means in "English" is that there is no surround support but you'll be able to run this with a Creative card. This will however require you to download a file I put up on my dropbox. Simply extract the dll into your disgaea 2 folder (where the disgaea2.exe" is)
You're now ready to start the game like normal; Only this time getting to the menu and beyond. This should work for anyone with the same issue but it it does/doesn't do let me know!

thank you so much dude
Welcome both of you, glad to see it working out :)
Should there come up something else (although I have my doubts.) do let me know. I suppose it's safe to say both of you have a Creative card (just for completion sake)?
