Mouse and Keyboard no longer work in game.
Hello,

I was playing this game normally yesterday, everything was going fine until I decided to play again today - only to find out only the 'Enter' key works on my keyboard. Naturally, I have no idea what has caused this - I don't know if it's relevant but the UI quality has also gone down to 'classic' style by itself, suggesting that maybe the game has reverted to it's console settings or something?

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it - I've tried reinstalling the game, verifying etc.

EDIT: Turning off Steam Synchronization and then re-downloading the game seems to have fixed it.

Hey there dood, sorry to hear about this bug! Could you post your computer specs?

I am not sure, but if I had to guess, it might be because of other USB devices plugged in to your computer. Does this problem happen if you only have mouse and keyboard plugged in?

Just had this issue with only the enter key working on keyboard on first run.
But on second run all the keys work.

Sorry about the delay in response.

My specs are:

Windows 10 pro 64 bit
Intel i5 2500K @4.5 Ghz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 2GB
8GB DDR3 RAM
Asrock z68 Extreme3 Gen3 mobo

Honestly, after I fixed it with the method mentioned in my original post. I've been hesitant to try and replicate it after making progress in the game, thus I can't tell you if it still occured with other USB devices unplugged, however I haven't added or removed any USB devices before the problem occured - The last thing I did was activate all the PSP characters before the issue occured the next day - I'll try turning on Steam Sync and starting a new game in order to replicate it for you tonight.

I just came across this issue myself, turning off Steam Synchronization and redownloading it didnt work for me, I just fixed the issue however! It seems the problem for me came from the game config file "game.cfg". At first I just deleted the text for it hoping that steam verfiying the integrity of game files option might have worked but it didn't, as steam didn't even recognize the file was missing the text. So I completely deleted the file itself and when I booted D2 up, the problem was resolved! I'm not sure what caused the file to become corrupted but clearly was the issue at hand. Hope this helps someone else if this issue comes up for them as well...oh and dont worry! Deleting that file wont corrupt your save files! That I am most excited about as having to return to my third cycle status would have been annoying ^_^
