Big bug on Linux version
I wanted to play the first Disgaea, but it is not available for Linux, so I have to choose the second. After bought it I experienced that ALL dialog boxed are invisible (not black, not transparent, they are just not there)
Please tell me how to fix it or I'll claim back my money.

PD: As much as I love NISA, I don't want them enough to throw money at them.

This is a consistent problem for people with older video cards, myself included. Supposedly Nippon Ichi is coming up with a solution, but it's been a few months now (they're probably focusing more on Disgaea 5's release for the Switch at the moment), and confidence and patience are running low.

iirc they still didnt add windowed mode to linux version (and looks like wont). Feel free to refund, I think

With an nvidia GT 750M laptop, I fixed this problem in Ubuntu 16.04 by installing Nvidia's latest proprietary drivers from their website. I'd recommend downloading from Nvidia, as the version in Ubuntu's "additional drivers" utility did not work for me and almost wrecked my entire system.
