Visual issues
Already posted about it in the discussion forum, but to make it short:

- The opening (as well as the "stay away from the TV" warning) are not visible; the audio still works
- Dialogue boxes/text do not appear at all; portraits and audio still work (screenshot)
- Skill names do not appear in their respective box at the top while the skill is being used; the box still appears, unlike the dialogue ones (screenshot)
- The screen does not fade to black when ex. saving or entering a shop, having an instant transition instead
- Cannot set resolution to 1440x900 (native)

i'm in the same boat, except for the resolution (my native is like 1600 and it lets me set it).

Here it goes:

- Motherboard: GIgabyte GA-78LMT-S2
- CPU: Phenom II X4 960T
- VGA: GeForce GTS 250 (Zotac)
- 8GB of RAM
- OS: Windows 10 Pro-64-bit

Maybe it is worth noticing that my VGA does not support DirectX 11 or above.
If there is anything missing, or that is needed, just say it. Thanks for checking it out!

I'm experiencing this too

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 635 Processor (4 CPUs), 2,9GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce G210

(i dont know what any of this means)
Just upgraded my drivers and verified the files too, no problems there.

Same here, no text box, the intro movie is black (only sound).


CPU: i3 3220
Graphics: GeForce GTS 250 (Twintech)
RAM: 4GB
Motherboard: MSI Z77A-G43
OS: Windows 7 64bits

Hi again!
Not sure if this was fixed for any of you in any patch, since I haven't been playing the game but I recently changed my VGA and did the testing.
It is working fine on a Radeon RX 470, no bugs found until now.

Huh, I missed this thread. This is currently a known issue with older NVIDIA cards, specifically the following series: 8xxx, 9xxx, 1xx, 2xx, 3xx, 4xx. Not sure about 5xx, but anything newer should work. Not aware of any currently working fixes, sadly.

this issue has been known since the start, and there doesn't seem to be any word from the devs on when its getting fixed, I suspect the game been left for dead.

I have the same issue too.

Intel Atom CPU (2 physical cores with HyperThreading, i.e. 4 logical cores)
4 GB RAM
Ubuntu 16.04 Linux (64 bit with 32 bit runtime support)
NVidia ION Chipset

I have several other SteamOS/Linux games installed which all work fine (Portal 2, Portal 1, The Talos Principle, ...).

I just got this on a Mac, should I just refund it and wait until I get a PC? I'm having the exact same issues like lack of text boxes, black screen on the intro with all the audio in both cases working.

Updating on my post yesterday, I found my specs for my Mac. Also sent an email to Nis's support team. Hoping this helps...

3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo for the Processor

4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 for Memory

NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256 MB for Graphics

And I'm still running El Capitan version 10.11.6
