Game Crashes At Main Menu After Intro Movie
I've looked about for any ideas on how to fix it and none of them are working. The game loads the logo and intro movie but after that it just freezes up indefinately

No, the game just goes into a perpetual not responding state. Ive even left it running for a good 20 minutes and nothing happens

Oh, and make sure that OpenAL is installed on your system in the first place.

Tried that, still have the same black screen freeze on main menu

Hopefully your still not having the issue but an issue with the audio device you have selected can stop the game loading as crazy as that sounds. it took me a ton of troubleshooting to figure out what was happening turns out a windows up caused the issue and i needed to update the realtek drive and disable audio enchancements
