Menu selection/cursor keeps scrolling on its own
Every time I start the game, the menu selection cursor immediately starts moving upwards as if an uncalibrated joystick is plugged in. I can briefly get the cursor to stop by pressing W or S, but then it starts scrolling again immediately. There are no devices plugged into my Macbook at all. No gamepad, no mouse, no external keyboard. I tried turning off the touchpad to make sure it wasn't causing it, and it still occurs. Disgaea 1 works fine on the Macbook via Wine, but this game natively supports OSX, so I'm running it directly. Is this a known issue, and is there a fix?

Please refrain from answers I commonly get when mentioning Mac, like "Get a PC, Mac's suck", etc. I have a PC at home for gaming, but I take my Macbook with me on deployments since I need it for Logic Pro X and I'm limited on what I can bring onboard. Sorry if this caveat offends anyone, but I get tired of people criticizing me for using a Mac whenever I ask for assistance on a Mac-supported game. I purchased this game specifically because it supported OSX, and because 2 hasn't been ported to Switch or PS4.

Does it still happen if you reconfigure up and down?

I tried changing up to S and down to W and it still does it. I also tried turning of gamepad support via big picture mode in Steam.
I'm having a similar issue on win10, the cursor will just want to drift down.

Also when I do get it to open settings it just closes it right away so I can't change anything.

When I try to just ignore that and start a game the into just skips through it like I'm rapidly pressing skip and my character just jumps around like a spaz.
